Large crowds turn out to mark Kaanum Pongal

The large number of Chennai peoples crowd to mark in beaches and entertainment places for the harvest festival season of kaanum Pongal. During the other places of VGP, MGM Dizzee World, Queensland, Kishkinta, Muttukaadu, Mahabalipuram, Trade Fair at Island Grounds, Children’s Park, Chennai Book Fair, and the main spots like Kamarajar Memorial and Gandhi Mandapam has also the lot of people thronged. Arignar Anna Zoological Park in Vandalur where approximately 1,00,000 people are probably to turn up so that the safety arrangements have been made up here. The counters also opened in the early morning for the crowd. City college and school students are also managing the crowd they are not allowed the visitors to taking the plastic bags inside the zoo.

Global symposium on Tamil begins Jan 17

The worldwide symposium classical language of Tamil will be held on January 17 to 20 in Chennai. The International Symposium 2008 on Tamil would be together planned by the Institute of Asian Studies (IAS); Mysore based Centre and Chennai for greatness of Classical in Tamil. People welcome 2008 with zest

Chennai, New Delhi, and Jaipur – Across the India people welcomes New Year with great zeal and greeted every one and craze late on Monday night. In New Delhi, adherent came out in huge numbers, courageous the winter chill, to halo in the New Year. The Capital was a drone with movement as both young and old get part in the partying with cheerfulness. Chennai was decorated with lights and colors to greet the New Year. At midnight, people greeted the New Year with trust and zest and prayed for an enhanced future. The cheerful and passion mood of people was most obvious in Goa. The state has been during actually, busy with tourists for the past few days. The scary cold failed to fade away the New Year celebrations in Chandigarh. People greeted each one and danced plow late night. Celebrations in Rajasthan were exceptional as the common man lead in the New Year with cheerfulness. Low winter mercury levels abortive to reduce the spirit of the revilers as the celebratory guts soared high and Indians rang in 2008 with vast enthusiasm and zeal.
