Students celebrate Indian festival

About 200 students' are performed a stage of Indian music and dance in festival of Diwali on Sunday night. About 600 peoples are present at the festival in Phillips center for the performing arts arranged by the Indian Students Association. Lights by tradition represent facts, immortality and realism in Indian culture, character which optimistically would be exposing in the performance. The show this time mixed with American and Indian culture. A few students dance for traditional Indian music and others for more modern Western beats. The every year Diwali show is a good opportunity to show their culture for the students of Indian heritage at UF.
