Michael Anthony Richards (born July 24, 1949)best known for his portrayal of the eccentric on the television sitcom.
After his series was canceled, Richards returned to his roots performing stand up comedy. After inciting some media furor in late 2006 over a use of racial epithets Richards announced his retirement from stand-up in 2007.
